Affordable Housing for Indigenous Elders

“Peyakotenaw” means “One Family”
Where Cultures Meet, Generations Thrive, and All Are Welcome.

About the Project

For the Peyakotenaw project, our mission is to honor and uplift Indigenous Elders by providing safe, culturally grounded, and affordable housing within their communities. Rooted in the spirit of unity and respect, we are committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment with a foundation for intergenerational healing, dignity, and well-being.

Peyakotenaw at 140 Merton Street in Toronto is the first Indigenous-led rental housing project developed in the City of Toronto that will provide affordable housing for elders.

The building will include a ceremonial space, smudging room, indoor and outdoor communal areas, and 29 floors of living accommodations.
